SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Cazenovia College and Le Moyne College have signed a “4+1” partnership agreement, providing Cazenovia students and alumni a “streamlined” application process into the master of business administration (MBA) program at Le Moyne.

Linda LeMura, president of Le Moyne College, and Mark Tierno, president of Cazenovia College, signed the agreement in a ceremony last week at Le Moyne’s Madden School of Business.

The five-year program begins with the current academic year, according to a Cazenovia College news release. The articulation program represents the first such agreement between the two schools.

“Le Moyne’s MBA program will provide Cazenovia students and alumni, who have a specialization in accounting, business management, equine-business management, health-care management, sport management, or fashion merchandising, an opportunity to earn a quality MBA but more importantly obtain the knowledge and skills needed to develop, implement and evaluate innovative business strategies and to effectively manage people, budgets and projects,” Tierno said in the news release.

Participation in the articulation program will allow a “streamlined” application process, with a “guarantee” of acceptance if students maintain certain minimum performance standards during their involvement with Cazenovia’s undergraduate program, the school said.

Those same standards are consistent with Le Moyne’s standard MBA admissions-review requirements and entry thresholds, according to Cazenovia.

Academic advising will “clarify and facilitate” Cazenovia student participation in a “Pre-MBA” articulation program, which has specific entry requirements and grade-point average, or GPA, thresholds for students to meet.

The schools will guide Pre-MBA program participants as they work to complete an “accelerated or streamlined” application process that the career-services office at Cazenovia and the Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College will develop, according to Cazenovia College.

“We are excited about this partnership with Cazenovia College and look forward to being an option for Cazenovia graduates seeking to pursue graduate study in business administration,” LeMura said in the release.
