Most parts of Central New York gained jobs between February 2014 and this past February.
The Ithaca region was the lone exception, having lost a net 800 jobs, a decline of 1.1 percent.
That’s according to the latest monthly employment report that the New York State Department of Labor issued Thursday.

The Syracuse region gained 1,200 total jobs between February 2014 and this past February, an increase of 0.4 percent.
The Utica–Rome area gained 1,400 jobs in the same period, a rise of 1.1 percent.
The Binghamton region gained 1,200 jobs in the same 12-month period, up 1.2 percent, according to the state Labor Department data.
The Watertown–Fort Drum region gained 200 jobs in the last year, an increase of 0.5 percent.
New York state as a whole gained 151,800 jobs, up 1.7 percent, in the last year. The state economy added 20,200 jobs between January and February, according to the report.
Private-sector jobs
The Syracuse region gained 1,200 private-sector jobs between February 2014 and this past February, up 0.5 percent. The Utica–Rome area added 1,600 private-sector positions, a rise of 1.7 percent.
The Binghamton region gained 900 private-sector jobs, up 1.1 percent, in the last year, according to the report.
The Ithaca area lost 400 private-sector positions between February 2014 and this past February, a drop of 0.6 percent.
The Watertown–Fort Drum region gained 100 private-sector jobs, up 0.3 percent.
New York state’s economy added more than 148,000 private-sector jobs, a 2 percent gain, in the last 12 months, with most of those positions located Downstate.
The state also gained more than 16,000 private-sector jobs, a 0.2 percent increase, in the last month, the state Labor Department reported.
