People news: POMCO hires Bandera to supervise operations services

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — POMCO has hired Loretta Bandera in the role of supervisor of operations services.

Bandera will lead a team of claims-service specialists to ensure the highest level of processing accuracy and efficiency, POMCO said in a news release. She previously worked as a director for short-term disability at a regional insurance agency. Bandera has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance industry and brings strong knowledge of claims-processing data and analytics to POMCO’s operational workflows.

“I am excited to help establish new best practices for processing efficiencies here at POMCO,” Bandera said in the release. “Being a part of an organization that is already known for accuracy and excellence means that I have joined a team of individuals that are self-motivated for success. Being able to lead such an accomplished group of professionals, and further push for operational success, is an exciting challenge.”

Syracuse–based POMCO says it is one of the nation’s largest independent third-party administrators, offering customized, flexible employee benefits, risk management, and outsourcing options. The company was founded in 1978 and has offices throughout the United States.
