Broome County, Greater Binghamton Chamber launching series on how to sell to the county

DICKINSON, N.Y. — Broome County and Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce officials are launching Doing Business with Broome, a series of workshops to educate businesses in Broome County on the county’s competitive-bidding process.

The first workshop is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at FIVE South College Drive, Binghamton. For the dates of the upcoming workshops, call (607) 778-2188.

“A key to doing business with Broome County is making your firm, products, or services known to county representatives,” Tyler West, director of purchasing for the county, said in a release. “We want to encourage local businesses to know their county departments and the processes to do business with Broome County.”

Workshops will be held quarterly. Topics to be covered include registering under the small and local business program, tips for responding to solicitations, and using Bidnet to access documents.
