ALBANY, N.Y. — The Republican Conference in the New York State Assembly today re-elected Brian M. Kolb, of Canandaigua, to another two-year term as its leader.
Kolb, 62, was first elected Assembly minority leader in 2009. He has been an Assembly member since 2000. Before getting into politics, he worked in business for more than 25 years.
“As the only legislative body to return all of its incumbents, I look forward to continuing the progress we have made on behalf of millions of New Yorkers,” Kolb said in a news release.
Kolb represents the 131st Assembly District, which encompasses all of Ontario County and parts of Seneca County. His district office is located on West Washington Street in Geneva.
Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than a 2-to-1 margin in the Assembly.
