SYRACUSE, N.Y. — MedTech Association, a membership-based trade association for the bioscience and medical technology (bio/med) industry in New York state, announced it has added 12 community and industry leaders to its 2014-2015 board of directors.
Two Central New York executives named to the board were Jeffrey Trubia, partner at Testone, Marshall & Discenza, LLP (TMD) in Syracuse, and Sarah Oliker, assistant general counsel at Utica–based ConMed Corp. (NASDAQ: CNMD).
Trubia, a partner in TMD’s tax practice, has more than 16 years experience. He specializes in working with the following industries: health care, manufacturing, real-estate development and equipment, as well as construction. Trubia completed his education at Le Moyne College.
At ConMed, Oliker advises on international and domestic distribution matters, health-care provider arrangements, and provides strategic counsel on day-to-day matters affecting ConMed’s business. She has more than 15 years of health-care experience. Prior to ConMed, she served as senior counsel for ProCure Treatment Centers, Inc. Oliker is currently admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and New York state. She also serves as president of the Syracuse University Law Alumni Association. Oliker holds a bachelor’s from Colgate University and earned her law degree at the SU College of Law.
The other 10 new people MedTech named to its board include three executives from the Albany area, four from Rochester, and one executive each from Buffalo, the New York City area, and Boston.
