Kinney Drugs opens new Manlius store

MANLIUS, N.Y. — Kinney Drugs has opened a new store in Madison Row at 7660 Highbridge Rd. in Manlius.

The company has a formal opening and ribbon cutting planned for Jan. 10, Kinney Drugs said in a news release.

The pharmacy department remains the “focal point” of the new store, the company said. It has a pharmacy-consultation room if a patient needs to speak with a pharmacist and a drive-up window for prescription pick up.

Local residents will have access to free prescription delivery, a medication-synchronization program that automatically refills prescriptions, a discount-prescription program, and immunizations from pharmacists, according to Kinney Drugs.

“As a local, employee-owned business, we are excited to become a part of the Manlius community,” Jim Spencer, president of Kinney Drugs stores, said in the release. “The new store format focuses on our commitment to patient health and wellness while providing an exceptional customer shopping experience.”

Kinney Drugs is the drug-store division of KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., a pharmacy health-care company headquartered in Gouverneur in St. Lawrence County. Founded in 1903, Kinney Drugs operates 101 drug stores in Central and Northern New York and Vermont, along with a distribution center.
