CARTHAGE, N.Y. — The Lundy Group of Companies (LUNCO) plans to sell its current office at 35794 Route 126 in Carthage to the Long Falls Baptist Church.
The LUNCO also expects to move its offices to the new Clinton Center Professional and Medical Campus in downtown Watertown, when it is finished “in the next several months,” the company said in a news release issued Monday. The Clinton Center is a Lundy development project, the firm indicated. It didn’t disclose the sale price of its current building.
In the meantime, the Lundy Group of Companies will move to a temporary location at 18841 U.S. Route 11, or outer Washington Street, in Watertown, the company said.

The sale of the Carthage building housing the Lundy Group of Companies and the move to the Watertown area has been “in the plans for a while,” the firm noted.
“Our business model has evolved over the years and our growth has led to increasingly more of our business being located in the Watertown area and beyond. It is more of a natural fit for us to be located there, especially on the development end of our companies,” Michael Lundy, president and CEO of the Lundy Group of Companies, said in the release.
It’s also an effort to get all of the firm’s companies “under one roof,” he added.
“Right now we have LUNCO in Carthage, Lundy Development and Property Management being handled out of another location, and Washington Summit Associates even at another. This will allow all of the management tasks to be centrally located for all of the Lundy Group of Companies,” he explained.
With the new Clinton Center project, LUNCO will incorporate new office space for its company headquarters into that project, Lundy said.
“In the meantime, we have found suitable space on outer Washington Street, just down the road from our Washington Summit Complex, to lease. After we move into Clinton Center, we will keep the outer Washington Street location as a project-management office and workshop, as it is centrally located between Washington Summit and our newly proposed Agribusiness Park on Arsenal Street,” said Lundy.
Long Falls new space
Long Falls Baptist Church is “very excited” about its pending acquisition of the LUNCO offices in Carthage, Pastor Thom Sherwood said in the LUNCO news release.
“We have not had our own facility in about 10 years and this will allow us to have our own worship center and offices,” he said.
Sherwood also noted that as a nonprofit organization, the purchase of the property by Long Falls Baptist Church is pending review by New York State Supreme Court and the New York Attorney General’s office for approval.
Long Falls Baptist Church hopes to take ownership of the building in early 2018, per the release.
