The board of governors of the Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) has elected its 2015 chair, officers, and board members.
S. Jan Eberhard, M.D., a director and immediate past chair of the board at Arnot Health System in Elmira, was elected chair of the HTNYS board of governors, effective Jan. 1. Dr. Eberhard practiced pediatrics until his retirement in 2007. His tenure included serving as president of the medical staff at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
The HTNYS board of governors also elected the following officers to serve one-year terms:

The HTNYS board also elected three new members to serve for a three-year term, beginning Jan. 1:
§ Afua Atta-Mensah, trustee, SBH Health System, Bronx
§ George Deptula, chair, St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse
§ Barbara DiCocco, trustee, Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown
The Healthcare Trustees of New York State says it is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to strengthening the governance of the state’s nonprofit and public health-care facilities. HTNYS, based in Rensselaer, is governed by a board of 25 trustees from health-care facilities across the state and is an affiliate of the Healthcare Association of New York State, or HANYS.
