SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The downtown Syracuse farmers market, which has operated Tuesdays in Clinton Square since June, will conclude for the season on Tuesday.

The market is scheduled between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Farmers and vendors offer locally-grown fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, baked goods, and wine.

The market attracts as many as 5,500 visitors per week, the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. said in a June 12 news release, in advance the market’s season-opening Tuesday on June 13.

Free cider and donuts will be available at the market’s information booth to “celebrate” the market’s final day, the Downtown Committee said.

Downtown coffee break

Besides the free donuts and cider at the farmers market, people working downtown can also get a free cup of coffee in the middle part of the morning in Hanover Square.

The Downtown Committee is working with Café Kubal for a “downtown coffee break” between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. “to show our appreciation for downtown Syracuse employees.”

About 28,000 people work in the downtown area, according to the organization’s news release.

Those attending can submit their business cards for free drawings of prizes that downtown businesses have donated.
