SUNY Poly to hold Manufacturing Day Expo on Friday

MARCY, N.Y. — SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) will host its Manufacturing Day Expo on Friday between 9 a.m. and noon inside the Wildcat Field House at 100 Seymour Road in the town of Marcy.

The event will attract manufacturers, businesses, educators, students, and community members who are interested in manufacturing careers, the school said in a news release issued Monday.

Manufacturers from across New York state will display their products and technologies. They’ll be among more than 60 “interactive” exhibits. They’ll also discuss workforce needs and opportunities with students, the unemployed, underemployed, and veterans, according to the release.

The American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics) plans to have an information booth at the Expo. Albany–based AIM Photonics will “highlight the industry driven public-private partnership that focuses the nation’s premiere capabilities and expertise to strengthen U.S. leadership in photonics,” SUNY Poly said.
