Paul McCartney to perform at the Carrier Dome Sept. 23

carrier dome paul mccartneySYRACUSE, N.Y. — One of the most influential performers in the history of pop music will make his first-ever appearance at the Carrier Dome on Sept. 23.

Former Beatle Paul McCartney will bring his “One On One” tour to the Carrier Dome that night. Tickets go on sale May 1 at 10 a.m., Syracuse University announced Tuesday.

McCartney’s One On One tour opened April 13, 2016, with his debut concert in Fresno, California. One On One has since logged 36 shows and counting, with performances in North and South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe, along with a current run of Japanese dates.

The Syracuse concert is expected to include “dozens of classics from the most beloved catalog in popular music,” a Syracuse University news release boasted. The lineup of songs spans McCartney’s entire career, including his time with the Beatles, as a solo artist, and as a member of Wings.

It’s not the only event that Syracuse University will have an interest in that day. The Orange football team is also scheduled to play Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at a time that’s still to be determined.

Ticket prices range from $29.50 to $350, according to the website for The Bowery Presents, a New York City–based concert promotion and venue-management organization.

American Express card members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday at 10 a.m., continuing through Sunday at 10 p.m.
