CALEB RICHTER, a physician assistant, has joined Carthage Area Hospital’s Carthage Behavioral Health Clinic. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Roberts Weslayan College and a master’s degree in physician-assistant studies from Daeman College.

Previously, Richter worked at Samaritan Medical Center’s Leray Urgent Care. Prior to that, he worked at Carthage Area Hospital’s former Urgent Care in Evans Mills, as well as its Behavioral Health Clinic.

HAMED N. ADAIME, PH.D., new mental-health counselor, has joined Carthage Area Hospital’s Behavioral Health Team.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in human-resource management from Southern New Hampshire University, a master’s degree in counseling at-risk youth from College of Santa Fe, and a Ph.D. in hospital administration from Warren National University.

Previously, Adaime provided mental-health psychotherapy to Army soldiers and families. He is also owner of Health of Minds Psychotherapy Services in Watertown.

THERESA KIERNAN has joined Carthage Area Hospital as the new Carthage Middle School–based health-clinic counselor. She obtained her associate degree in liberal arts from Jefferson Community College in 2004 and obtained her bachelor’s degree in human development from SUNY Oswego in 2006. While working on her undergraduate degree, Kiernan worked as direct care staff in a residential treatment facility for youth. She also completed internships as a parent educator in a literacy program and as staff at a homeless shelter for teens in Sydney, Australia.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, she began working in a foster care program, and later worked as a care coordinator in a program designed to help at-risk children and families remain together. Kiernan received her master’s degree in mental-health counseling at SUNY Oswego in 2015.

ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH

St. Joseph’s Health added KARLA MARTINEZ-DULMER, M.D. to its Primary Care Center – West location. She earned her doctorate in medicine from the University of Guadalajara, College of Medicine in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mexican Institute of Social Security in Guadalajara, and most recently completed her residency in family medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse.

Martinez-Dulmer has worked as a primary care physician and in women’s health outpatient and surgical management. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

ST. JOSEPH’S PHYSICIANS FAMILY MEDICINE

St. Joseph’s Physicians Family Medicine has announced the return of MICHAEL TONG, M.D., to its North Medical Center location in Clay. He came to the United States from Vietnam when he was 13 years old and graduated from Marcellus High School, Hobart College, and received his doctorate in medicine from Upstate Medical University. Tong’s practice at the Clay facility is diverse and includes families and individuals of all ages.

Fluent in Vietnamese, he is one of the primary physicians serving the growing Vietnamese community in the area.

Family physician, HEATHER FINGER, M.D., has joined St. Joseph’s Health and the St. Joseph’s Physicians Family Medicine – North Medical Center location in Clay. She earned her M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and completed her residency in family practice at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center and is board-certified in family medicine.

Prior to joining St. Joseph’s Physicians, Finger practiced family medicine in Central Square. She has 11 years’ practical experience in a rural primary care environment. Finger was also coordinator for the NYS Vaccines for Children program.

TRUST PEDIATRICS

CHRISTOPHER DELANEY, M.D. has joined Trust Pediatrics in Fulton. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his M.D. from Upstate Medical University. His addition increases Trust Pediatrics’ team to five pediatricians, providing care to children and adolescents in northern Onondaga and Oswego counties.
