SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University announced Tuesday afternoon that the NIT first round men’s basketball game between Syracuse and UNC Greensboro (UNCG) scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed to Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
The winter snowstorm pounding the Northeast, especially Central New York, forced the rescheduling of the game, which was supposed to be broadcast on ESPN.
“After consultation with Onondaga County and City of Syracuse authorities, as well as the NCAA, and with fan and participant safety the top priority, tonight’s NIT game between Syracuse and UNCG has been postponed,” Syracuse said in a statement.
