SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub, which plans to open inside the Marriott Syracuse Downtown on March 11, is working to fill 35 positions.
The 35 new jobs at Shaughnessy’s will include bartenders, hosts, servers, cooks and dishwashers to staff the Irish pub, the Marriott Syracuse Downtown said in a recent news release.

Shaughnessy’s will include seating for 110 patrons, including a private dining room with a capacity of 22 and seasonal outdoor seating for an additional 40 guests.
It will offer a “classic pub fare” with local and regional craft beers on tap in a “sports-pub atmosphere.”
The interior of Shaughnessy’s will include a piece of Syracuse local sports history. The venue plans to use of the original Syracuse Nationals’ basketball court as its floor.
The hotel said it recently purchased the floor from Onondaga County War Memorial.
Shaughnessy’s will join dining venues, Eleven Waters and The Cavalier Room, which are currently open in the hotel.
The Marriott Syracuse Downtown, located at 100 E. Onondaga St. in Syracuse, is the former Hotel Syracuse. Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub lists an address of 500 S. Warren St. on its Facebook page.
The Marriott Syracuse Downtown currently employs 237 people, not including the open jobs at Shaughnessy’s Pub, according to the release.
