UTICA, N.Y. — Utica College, the Utica Memorial Auditorium, and the City of Utica will host the 2017 NCAA Division 3 men’s hockey semifinals and finals March 24 and 25.
The event is also known as the “Frozen Four.” It’s college hockey’s version of college basketball’s “Final Four.” Division 1 hockey also has a Frozen Four.
The event represents the first time in more than 50 years that the Utica Memorial Auditorium will host an NCAA championship final, the City of Utica said in a news release issued Wednesday.
