People news: Key Private Bank names King sales manager

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Key Private Bank announced that it has named John H. King sales manager for the Central New York market.

King, a VP with Key, will lead a team of specialists handling the banking, investment, and trust needs of affluent individual clients across Central New York, the banking company said in a news release.

He is based in Key’s Central New York headquarters office at 201 South Warren St. in downtown Syracuse.

King previously was a wealth advisor for Key Private Bank, specializing in high-net-worth families, institutions, and nonprofit organizations. He has 13 years’ experience in the financial-services industry and has been in private wealth management for 10 of those years, the release stated.

King, a certified wealth specialist, earned his bachelor’s degree from Elmira College.

Key Private Bank is a unit of KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY), a Cleveland, Ohio–based banking company with about $140 billion in total assets, following its acquisition of First Niagara Financial Group.
