People news: Community Bank promotes Shlotzhauer

ONEIDA, N.Y. — Community Bank N.A. announced it has promoted Dean Shlotzhauer, Jr. to commercial-banking officer in the Oneida–Madison region.

He has more than nine years of experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as branch manager at Community Bank’s Griffiss Park branch in Rome.

In his new role, Shlotzhauer will manage new business and maintain current customer relationships. He will be responsible for providing direct service to commercial clients on deposit, loan, and other products and services, according to a Community Bank news release.

Outside the office, Shlotzhauer participates in various community organizations, serving as a board member for the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce and chairman for the Rome Chamber Professional Development Community.

Shlotzhauer received his bachelor’s degree in broadcasting and mass communication from SUNY Oswego.

DeWitt–based Community Bank operates more than 190 branches across upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
