AUBURN — The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has reaffirmed accreditation of Cayuga Community College with “no requirements for a follow-up report.”
Its next evaluation visit is scheduled for 2024 and 2025, the college said in a news release.
In addition to the notification of its reaccreditation, the Middle States Commission “commended” Cayuga Community College for the “quality” of the self-study process and report, and recognized the institution for its progress to date.
Cayuga Community College first earned Middle States accreditation in 1965 and has maintained accreditation since its initial review, the college said.
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania–based Middle States Commission on Higher Education is a “voluntary, non-governmental, regional” membership association currently serving higher-education institutions in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and other geographic areas in which the commission conducts accrediting activities, per its website.
