New three-year appointments include Jodi Denman (Knickerbocker Bed Company), Carrie Pollak (Hancock Estabrook), and Dr. Martin Stallone (Cayuga Medical Center). Those returning to a three-year seat are Johanna Anderson (Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services), Jeff Gorsky (Sciarabba Walker), and Chris Malcolm (Wegmans), IAED said.
New annual appointments include Christine Lovely (Cornell University); Amy Kremenek (TC3); Greg Mezey (Tompkins County Legislature); and Chris Sponn (Tompkins County Workforce Development Board). A full list is available at IthacaAreaED.org/about-iaed.
“IAED board members represent every sector of our economy, from education and healthcare to government, non-profit, and industry. They contribute to the organization’s culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, and financial sustainability, as well as serving as ambassadors and advocates. I look forward to the foresight, oversight, and insight of the new and returning members,” IAED President, Heather McDaniel said in a release.
IAED’s board of directors also voted unanimously to elect as officers Greg Galvin (Rheonix) as chair; Cathy Hart (Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons) as vice chair; Jeff Gorsky as treasurer; and Chris Malcolm as secretary. All are engaged personally and professionally in the Ithaca and Tompkins County communities and combined, have more than 30 years of leadership experience at IAED, the nonprofit said.
The IAED executive committee, which includes the officers along with Greg Hartz (Tompkins Community Bank), Lisa Holmes (Tompkins County), Laura Lewis (City of Ithaca), and Joel Malina (Cornell University) serve in the same capacity for IAED’s 501(c)(3) subsidiary, TCAD Foundation. The TCAD Foundation was established in 2013 to advance economic development in the Finger Lakes region. It currently oversees administration of the organization’s Appalachian Regional Commission grant to construct fiber broadband and Tompkins Community Recovery Fund grant for the Direct-to-Work manufacturing partnership program.
