UTICA, N.Y. — Reimagine St. Luke’s will hold a community workshop to review the concept plan for the reuse of the former St. Luke’s Healthcare campus on Oct. 30 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services, 1650 Champlin Ave., Utica.
The hospital closed a year ago when MVHS opened the new Wynn Hospital in downtown Utica. While St. Luke’s Home continues to operate, the rest of the 53-acre campus has been the focus of a redevelopment and reuse initiative led by Oneida County, MVHS, Mohawk Valley EDGE, and the town of New Hartford.
They hired Fu Wilmers Design to lead a team of consultants who, along with an advisory group made of community members, have held a number of public workshops to solicit input.
