ILION, N.Y. — The closed Remington Firearms facility in Ilion may soon have a new owner.
The Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency (HCIDA) announced that Turin Management, LLC, a women-owned New York-based development company, executed a purchase and sale agreement for the entire 1-million-square-foot facility, located at 14 Hoefler Ave. The agreement gives Turin up to four months to complete its due diligence on the property including but not limited to infrastructure and environmental assessments. No financial terms were disclosed.
According to HCIDA CEO John Piseck, Turin is evaluating a number of options for the site. HCIDA has been involved in developing the reuse plan for the facility.
