UTICA, N.Y. — The United Food and Commercial Workers, District Union Local One (UFCW) and Communication Workers of America, District One Local 1126 (CWA) voted on Feb. 26 to ratify a new agreement to extend their current contract with Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) through Dec. 31, 2026.
CWA represents licensed practical nurses and technical employees while UFCW represents service and maintenance employees.
The current master collective-bargaining agreement was set to expire on June 30, but the parties agreed after some negotiation to ratify the contract extension, MVHS announced.
