ACEC NY elects Linda Shumaker board chair

BINGHAMTON — The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC NY) has elected Linda Shumaker as its new board chair, effective July 1.

Shumaker is president and managing principal of Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C. (SCE).

She has 35 years of civil-engineering experience. Following in her father’s footsteps, Shumaker became managing partner of the firm he established in 1956, reincorporating in 1992 as a woman-owned business enterprise. Today, SCE says it’s a full-service engineering firm offering a range of transportation, environmental, and civil/site engineering, geomatics, and construction-observation services.
