Cooper Industries paid approximately $56 million for the combination of the three companies, which are expected to post combined sales of about $36 million in 2011.
“Although small, Yuhua and Blinda are leading brands in China and Brazil, respectively, and are strategic fits within Cooper’s global-leading portfolio of explosion-proof electrical products for harsh and hazardous environments,” Cooper Industries Chairman and CEO Kirk S. Cooper Industries, a global electrical products manufacturer, maintains seven operating divisions. It reported $5.1 billion in revenue in 2010, and 59 percent of its sales that year were to industrial and utility customers. In 2010, 39 percent of the company’s sales were to customers outside of the United States.
