Adirondack Bank adjusting services, citing increase in local virus cases

Adirondack Bank, which operates a location at 185 Genesee St. in downtown Utica, says it is again limiting its branch operations to drive-thru service and appointment-only lobby service, effective Monday, Nov. 23 “until further notice,” citing the increase in local COVID-19 cases. Branch lobbies will be closed to walk-in customers; however, lobby services will be available by appointment only at designated locations for special account needs (such as loan closings, etc.).

The designated locations include 2817 Genesee St. in Utica; 1709 Black River Blvd. in Rome; 214 N. Washington St. in Herkimer; 13150 State Route 12 in Boonville; and 38 Hadjis Way in Lake Placid, per the news release.

“As we all know, 2020 has been a trying year. Although we have many things to look forward to with the holidays and the new year approaching, we cannot look past the current situation,” Rocco Arcuri, Sr., president and CEO of Adirondack Bank, said. “Adirondack Bank remains focused on protecting our customers’ and employees’ well-being first and foremost. The temporary operational changes that we are once again implementing allow us to do so while continuing to safely service our local communities.”

Adirondack Bank says if customers have questions regarding their accounts; the change in branch operations; or would like to make an appointment for lobby service, they can contact the customer-service center during the hours listed above at (315) 272-2500 or (877) 404-2265 and select option 1.

Adirondack Bank’s online banking, mobile banking, telephone banking, LiveChat, night-drop depositories, and ATMs continue to operate normally, the bank said.
