Adirondack Bank names Mohr CFO

UTICA, N.Y. — The former CFO at Alliance Bank is now serving in the same role for Utica–based Adirondack Bank.

Adirondack Bank today announced it has hired J. Daniel Mohr as the banking company’s new senior VP and CFO.

Mohr began working for Adirondack earlier this summer, Robert Clark, executive VP of Adirondack Bank, said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry.

Mohr replaces Robert Hillick, who has retired, Clark added.

Adirondack Bank describes Mohr as a “seasoned executive with extensive and invaluable experience in the banking industry.”

“I am thrilled that Dan has joined Adirondack Bank,” Rocco Arcuri, Sr., president and CEO of Adirondack Bank, said in a news release. “Dan’s vision of community banking aligns perfectly with the culture and mission of that at Adirondack Bank. His experience and active involvement in our communities will be invaluable as we look forward to continued growth and expansion of financial services to our customers.”

Mohr was serving as CFO of Alliance Bank at the time Norwich–based NBT Bancorp acquired the bank in 2013. The acquisition triggered “golden parachute” pay packages, including the $1.1 million that Mohr was due, according to a March 27, 2013 article posted on cnybj.com.

After Alliance and prior to Adirondack Bank, Mohr worked as executive VP and CFO at DCB Financial Corp. (OTC PINK: DCBF). Mohr left DCB in April, according to his LinkedIn page.

At the same time, Indiana, Pennsylvania–based First Commonwealth (NYSE: FCF) had completed its acquisition of DCB Financial, according to an April 3, 2017 article on the website of the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Prior to DCB Financial and Alliance Bank, Mohr was CFO at Utica–based Partners Trust Financial Group, Inc. — which M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) acquired in 2007; as CFO for the Syracuse–based Pioneer Companies; and as controller for Skaneateles Bancorp, Inc., according to his LinkedIn page.

Adirondack Bank operates 18 offices serving upstate New York, including a commercial-lending location in downtown Syracuse.
