Air Force seeks industry input on building lease at Rome Lab

ROME — The U.S. Air Force announced it is seeking input on a possible commercial real-estate lease for a portion of an office building at Rome Laboratory.

The Air Force Civil Engineer Center on March 28 issued a request-for-information (RFI) asking for private-industry feedback on a lease for part of Building 106 on the north perimeter of Rome Laboratory.

Specifically, the RFI is asking potential developers and tenants to identify data, opportunities, issues, concerns, and challenges associated with leasing the facility.

The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate occupies about half of the 197,000-square-foot facility, which fronts Hangar Road and Moody Street, the agency said in a news release.

The Air Force will remain in part of the building, meaning future tenants will have to abide by security requirements, the agency said.

Terms of the agreement, such as the rental rate, maintenance repairs, and utilities’ costs, are negotiable, the Air Force said.
