Allegiant Air to expand nonstop flights from Syracuse to Myrtle Beach, starting next March

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Allegiant Air plans to expand its nonstop air service from Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) directly to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) next year.

The twice-weekly flights will begin on March 6, 2025, nearly three months earlier than in prior years, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) said in its Wednesday announcement.

Operating on Thursdays and Sundays, the flights will get Syracuse travelers to “the Grand Strand in under two hours,” the SRAA said. This new schedule is “perfectly timed for golfers eager to tee off” during Myrtle Beach’s spring golf season, which runs from March through May, it added. The Myrtle Beach area includes more than 80 golf courses.

“We greatly appreciate our partner Allegiant recognizing and accommodating the springtime demand for nonstop service to Myrtle Beach,” Jason Terreri, executive director of the SRAA, said in the announcement. “We can see the uptick in people traveling to Myrtle Beach during that March through May timeframe each year. This expansion of Allegiant’s nonstop schedule gives our travelers a much more convenient option to do so quickly and easily.”
