CLAY, N.Y. — Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) on Tuesday said it plans to hire more than 1,300 people for full-time, seasonal, and part-time roles in Syracuse and Central New York.
The Seattle, Washington–based ecommerce giant operates a fulfillment center in Clay and a delivery station in DeWitt.
Altogether, the company seeks to hire 250,000 people throughout the U.S., the firm said.

Amazon is holding in-person hiring events between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at its fulfillment center at 7211 Morgan Road in Clay in the site’s recruitment office.
The company encourages job candidates to bring work-authorization documentation for on-the-spot hiring.

A fulfillment or transportation employee who starts with us today will see a 13% increase in pay over the next three years — likely more, including our annual wage investments — and that’s on top of offerings like pre-paid college tuition with Career Choice and health care benefits on day one.”
