AnneMarie Ambrose
UTICA, N.Y. — AnneMarie Ambrose, former executive director of information services at Herkimer County Community College, has been named Oneida County’s new director of central services.
She will oversee the county’s information technology, mail room, and print shop.
Ambrose has spent 26 years supporting technology and the past 13 in higher education, most recently with Herkimer College, where she also worked as director of information services and a senior programmer/analyst.
She was also a programmer/analyst for six years at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and a computer-support specialist and programmer at the Bank of New York Mellon for 13 years.
“We have found the perfect fit for this crucial position,” Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. contended in a news release. “I am excited to see where her dynamic combination of experience and leadership will take our Central Services Department, as it plays such an essential role in the function of Oneida County government.”
Ambrose has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Le Moyne College and is currently working on her MBA degree. She was born and raised in Rome and currently lives in Utica with her husband and three children.
