Anaren subsidiary wins $7.8 million order to support airborne-radar applications

DeWITT, N.Y. — Unicircuit, Inc., a subsidiary of DeWitt–based Anaren, Inc., announced it has received a $7.8 million order for hardware support of an airborne-radar application.

A “leading defense prime contractor,” which the firm didn’t name, placed the order, Anaren said a news release.

The order was booked this quarter and is expected to be shipped over the next several quarters, the firm added.

Unicircuit focuses on the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards (PCB), according to the Anaren website. It’s located in its PCB facility in Littleton, Colorado.

“In conjunction with their world class high-REL (high reliability) printed circuit-board capabilities, Unicircuit provides value-added services for higher level assembly and testing of components such as RF (radio frequency) and digital connectors, circulators and isolators, PCB housings, and thermal-management systems, which enhances the value they can bring to their military and space customers,” Mark Kosalek, VP of business development for the Anaren Space & Defense Group, said in the release. “These affordable, enhanced capabilities were critical factors in this customer’s decision to choose Unicircuit for this important production program.”
