HERKIMER, N.Y. — Arc Herkimer will host in-person hiring sessions on April 21 and April 28 from 4-6 p.m. at 350 South Washington St. in Herkimer. Both sessions are open to the public and walk-ins are welcome.

The agency is looking to fill several open positions and will conduct on-site interviews for direct-support professionals (DSP) and residential-support managers. The DSP position does not require a diploma, GED, or prior experience. Arc Herkimer will fully train staff in direct care. Full-time, part-time, and relief schedules are available with a starting pay rate of $15.25 per hour or more based on education and experience.

“Every DSP plays such an important role in our organization,” Arc Herkimer Recruitment Specialist Ashley Jones said in a news release. “They not only assist our people supported in their daily lives, such as cooking and medications, but they empower individuals through exciting activities and community involvement.”

Interested candidates can also apply during the events for Goods Store associate, mechanic, bus driver, medical appointment specialist, product support specialist, production manager, and employment-services specialist positions.
