Area businesses honored during CenterState CEO virtual annual meeting

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Quadrant Biosciences, Inc. and ComSource, Inc., both of Syracuse, were among the recipients of the CenterState CEO Business of the Year honors during Thursday’s virtual annual meeting.

The midday event also included remarks from Robert Simpson, president and CEO of CenterState CEO and the keynote address from Aisha Glover, VP of urban innovation at Newark, New Jersey–based Audible.

Quadrant Biosciences won in the “More than 50 Employees” category, while ComSource prevailed in the “Less than 50 Employees” category.

In addition, CenterState CEO recognized the Central New York Community Foundation of Syracuse in the “Nonprofit” category; Thompson & Johnson Equipment Co. Inc. of DeWitt in the “Community Involvement” category; and Dreissig Company, located at 2002 Teall Ave. in the town of Salina, was recognized in the “Minority-owned Business” category.

The “Minority-owned Business” is presented in partnership with the Upstate Minority Economic Alliance.

The event also acknowledged “Health Care Heroes” honorees, in recognition of CenterState CEO members that “represent hospital and critical testing partners for their front-line response during the pandemic.” They included:

  • Crouse Health
  • Nascentia Health, Inc.
  • Oswego Health
  • St. Joseph’s Health
  • Syracuse Community Health Center
  • Upstate University Hospital
  • Upstate University Hospital at Community General
  • WellNow Urgent Care
