NEW HARTFORD — The accounting firms Barone, Howard & Co. CPAs of New Hartford and Stephen F. Schink, CPA, of Rome will merge effective Jan. 1.
Schink will join the Barone, Howard & Co. firm as a partner and his Turin Road office will become the Rome–area office for the expanded firm. The home office will remain at Barone, Howard & Co.’s Seneca Turnpike location.
Between them, the firms employ nearly 20 people, including six certified public accountants. All staff members at both offices will be retained in their current roles through the merger.
