As principal, Angarano will continue in her role as senior interior designer at the studio.
She is a specialist in developing interiors for colleges and universities, including sustainable design. Angarano is currently heading the interior-design team for a research facility at Binghamton University, Nuthatch Hollow, which is targeting “Living Building” certification, according to an Ashley McGraw news release.
Angarano has presented her work and research on the evolving role of interior design at several professional conferences, including the New York State Green Building Conference and the Physical Plant Administrators Association.
Angarano holds a master’s degree in design: sustainable design studies/interior design from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Syracuse University.
“Susanne’s passion for creating spaces for working and learning that are both beautiful and more effective enriches our work, and in turn, the experiences of our clients. Having her voice on the leadership team will make the entire firm stronger,” Sandra March, Ashley McGraw’s principal and VP, said in the release.
Ashley McGraw Architects, based in Syracuse, was founded in 1981.
