Barclay Damon adds IP attorneys to its office in New Haven, Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. Syracuse–based Barclay Damon LLP says a five-person intellectual property (IP) team of attorneys has joined its patents & prosecution; intellectual property litigation; trademarks, copyrights & licensing; and higher education practice areas in New Haven, Connecticut.

The group, which joined Barclay Damon on Monday, previously worked for the Murtha Cullina firm, which has offices in New Haven, Hartford, and Stamford, Connecticut; along with Boston, Massachusetts, and White Plains in Westchester County, per the Murtha Cullina Facebook page.

Led by practice leader Tony Gangemi, the IP attorneys include Ben White, partner; Donna Lizotte, of counsel; Robert Kasten, patent agent; and IP paralegal Liza Blair, per the announcement.

Gangemi said he is excited by the move of his team and IP practice to Barclay Damons New Haven office.

The firms existing investment and commitment to a large and high-performing intellectual property practice that is national in scope is a perfect fit for the clients my team has serviced for years, Cangemi said in a news release. We anticipate immediate growth of our practice with the built-in synergies at Barclay Damon of a large Higher Education Practice Area and culture that provides matter staffing and support across the platform based on the best timekeepers to serve a clients needs.
