Barclay Damon hires Fyke as new marketing director

Maureen E. Fyke

Barclay Damon, LLP announced that Maureen E. Fyke has joined the law firm as its new director of marketing. She will work in all 11 of the firm’s offices.

Fyke brings decades of experience leading teams in a range of business development, branding, and marketing initiatives, including advertising and integrated marketing communications, brand positioning and management, business transformation and marketing strategy, marketing research and analytics, innovation and new product development, and metrics and performance management, according to a Barclay Damon news release.

Fyke most recently was senior manager of global consumer insights at Fisher-Price, Inc. (Mattel) in East Aurora, New York. Before that, she was an associate at Goodman & Company, a marketing consulting firm for Fortune 500 companies in New York City; senior manager of market research at Rich Products in Buffalo; and account planning manager at Answerthink (a Hackett Group Company), a global intellectual property-based strategic consulting firm in New York City. She has also held senior positions at several New York City advertising agencies, Barclay Damon said.

The Barclay Damon law firm resulted from the 2015 combination of Syracuse–based Hiscock & Barclay, LLP and Buffalo–based Damon Morey LLP. It established a 275-attorney, “super-regional” law firm with offices throughout the major cities of New York state and in Toronto, Boston, Washington D.C., and Newark, N.J. Barclay Damon has 33 legal practice areas.

“I couldn’t be more excited about joining Barclay Damon,” Fyke said in the news release. “From a marketing perspective, this is a unique opportunity to continue the momentum of a recently merged organization in an increasingly competitive industry that’s still figuring out how to strategically maximize its use of marketing. The aspects I most love about Barclay Damon center on its approach to being a true solutions-oriented client partner, embracing change in an ever-evolving profession and industry, and being hungry to progressively grow in new and innovative ways.”
