ROME, N.Y. — Bartell Machinery Systems, LLC, based in Rome, announced that Ben Lunduski has assumed the role of vice president of operations, effective June 4.

Lunduski assumes the responsibilities of Andy Longway, who has decided to dedicate more time to his family’s business, expand his teaching role at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and spend more time with his family, according to a Bartell news release.

Lunduski was hired by Bartell in September 2014 as director of supply chain management, and in May 2017 became the director of supply chain and quality assurance. In this role, Lunduski was responsible for running the company’s overall supply chain operations and oversaw the purchasing department. He also looked at past performance data to figure out and plan the company’s production need and planned how to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

In his new role, Lunduski will be responsible for working effectively across the organization to ensure successful execution of manufacturing, operations, and supply chain support, the release stated. He will also coordinate and work with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring a schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.

Prior to joining Bartell, Lunduski held senior management positions including director of supply chain at PPC Inc., director of supply chain at ECR International Inc., and sourcing manager at Honeywell Mobility and Scanning. Most recently, he worked for ECR International Inc as director of supply chain. There, he was responsible for all purchasing, warehouse functions, logistics, and inventory control.

Lunduski holds an associate degree in business administration from Corning Community College and a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Phoenix.

Bartell Machinery Systems says it provides highly-engineered industrial manufacturing equipment for the tire and rubber, oil and gas, and wire and cable industries.
