SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Barton & Loguidice (B&L) announced it has added Richard J. Maxwell as VP and chief financial officer (CFO).
He comes to B&L from Dannible & McKee, LLP, where he was a tax partner. Maxwell brings more than 20 years experience in taxation and planning for closely held companies, including B&L as one of his previous clients.
“As we continue to grow, the timing was right to add a chief financial officer to guide our firm into the future,” Nick Pinto, president of B&L, said in a news release. “Rich has been focused on overseeing tax services to architecture/engineering firms, including us, and has guided us on business valuation and ownership transition issues for many years. This is a perfect fit for both B&L and for Rich.”
A resident of Camillus, Maxwell received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Le Moyne College and is a certified public accountant.
He has taught a national course on business valuation and ownership transition for design firms. Maxwell is also actively involved in the community, serving as a board member of Vera House, Inc. and as treasurer of the board at Adapt CNY, Inc.
