Barton & Loguidice’s Duffy elected chair of the New York State Wetlands Forum

SYRACUSE —  Johanna E. Duffy,  a certified associate wildlife biologist who works for engineering firm Barton & Loguidice, P.C. (B&L), has been elected to serve as chair of the New York State Wetlands Forum (NYSWF) for 2013/2014, B&L announced.

 

Duffy has been with B&L for eight years and is responsible for wetland-site delineation and permitting, endangered and threatened species assessments and habitat surveys, ecological monitoring, environmental regulations, hazard mitigation, and hazardous waste and environmental site assessments for a wide variety of projects, the company said in a news release.

 

Duffy holds a master’s degree in wetland and water resources from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse. She is also affiliated with The Wildlife Society and The Society of Wetland Scientists. Duffy lives in Marcellus.

The NYSWF (www.wetlandsforum.org) describes itself as a non-advocacy statewide organization comprised of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds, interests and viewpoints regarding wetlands and their science, use, and management.

 

Barton & Loguidice is an engineering, planning, environmental, and landscape architecture firm with offices in Syracuse, Albany, Rochester, Ellenville, Newburgh, and Watertown, as well as one location in Pennsylvania.
