Barton & Loguidice settles into new local HQ, opens Maryland office

SALINA, N.Y. — Engineering firm Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. (B&L), which late last year moved its local headquarters across town, announced it has also opened an office in Lanham, Maryland.

B&L is an engineering, environmental science, and planning firm headquartered in Salina. The company now operates at 443 Electronics Parkway, having vacated its previous space in the nearby Thruway Office Building at 290 Elwood Davis Road.

The company started operations in its new location on Nov. 9 and is the only tenant in the building, B&L said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry. The building is next door to the Holiday Inn Syracuse–Liverpool.

B&L says its new Maryland facility will help it grow its business in the markets around the nation’s capital.

It enables the firm to “more efficiently and better meet the growing needs” of current and prospective clients in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia areas, the company said in a news release issued Thursday.

B&L has been working with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and private-sector clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for “many years” out of its New York and Pennsylvania offices, Nicholas Pinto, president of Barton & Loguidice, said.

“This new office location will better allow us to serve our growing Maryland client base,” said Pinto. “Having an office physically located in Lanham will permit staff that live nearby to work closer to home and also allow us to add staff locally, better serving current and future projects in the region.”

Office management staff currently includes Stephen Lezinski, a senior project manager, and Sean Sweeney, a senior managing engineer, the firm said.

Lezinski joined B&L to help operate the newest office.

He most recently served as the associate administrator/chief of disposal for the District of Columbia’s Department of Public Works, according to B&L.

B&L anticipates adding staff to the Maryland office, it added.
