Morgan has transitioned from his role as interim CFO since March to assume the position full time. Prior to joining Bassett, he served as interim regional CFO for PeaceHealth in Vancouver, Washington. He has nearly 30 years of experience in health-care executive-level leadership and finance. Morgan previously served as treasurer and CFO at Finger Lakes Regional Health System in Geneva and VP of finance and CFO at Brooks-TLC Hospital System in Dunkirk.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the University of Miami. Morgan is a certified public accountant and a fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
In her new role, Thompson will oversee the operations of Bassett Healthcare Network, including executive leadership of all hospital operations including Bassett Medical Center and A.O. Fox Hospital; oversight of Bassett’s critical access hospital division leadership teams; and operations at Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, and O’Connor Hospital in Delhi.
Thompson joins Bassett from the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pennsylvania, where she held progressive leadership positions for more than 27 years. Since 2013, she served as executive VP and COO for Guthrie Medical Group. From 2019-2021, Thompson also served as executive VP of Guthrie’s performance-improvement office. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in health-care administration from Penn State.
Bassett Healthcare Network includes five hospitals, more than two dozen community-based health centers, 21 school-based health centers, and two skilled-nursing facilities.
