LITTLE FALLS — Bassett Healthcare Network will celebrate the grand opening of its new primary-care center on the Little Falls Hospital campus tomorrow from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Amanda Ginovsky, a new family nurse practitioner at the center, will be on hand with Drs. Dale Adamson and Amy Grace during the event.
With the new staff and the new, larger center, Bassett will be able to serve more patients and meet the growing demand for primary care in the region. Last year, Adamson and Grace handled nearly 7,000 patient visits at the old center located inside the hospital.
The new center, located adjacent to the hospital at 170 Burwell St., doubles the number of exam rooms to seven and also includes a treatment room, lab, four offices, and support areas, as well as enough space for future growth. The one-floor design also provides easier access for patients.
With Bassett’s primary-care services now located in a separate building, work is under way inside the hospital to renovate the previous primary-care space into a satellite cardiology clinic of the Bassett Heart Care Institute.
In addition to Little Falls Primary Care and specialty services provided at Little Falls Hospital, Bassett Healthcare Network also operates its Herkimer Health Center and Bassett Convenient Care along with Valley Health Services, a skilled nursing facility, in Herkimer.
