VESTAL, N.Y. — Binghamton University will host a dedication ceremony for the Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development on campus Saturday.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the University Union Atrium, just outside the entrance to the center. The ceremony will recognize Binghamton University alumni Steven Fleishman (1991 graduate) and Judith Garczynski Fleishman (1990) for their donation that allowed the center to move to a new, updated facility. A reception will follow.

The Center for Career and Professional Development, in its new space, now reaches students on a larger scale and utilizes state-of-the-art technology, Binghamton University contended in a news release.

Event speakers will include the Fleishmans, Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger, and Kelli K. Smith, director of university career services.

The ceremony is part of the Binghamton University Alumni Association’s homecoming weekend, which began today and concludes on Sunday. Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the local community are invited to attend the dedication ceremony, the release said.

The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development offers a range of resources to facilitate students’ learning and practice, as well as transitions and connections to professional employment and advanced study, according to the university.
