Binghamton University to host expanded health fair on March 25

VESTAL — Binghamton University will soon host its 8th annual health fair, promoting wellness and including area businesses.

The university’s dining services unit, run by Sodexo, and its Department of Campus Recreation together will host the health fair on March 25 in the Recreation Center of East Gym from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., according to a Binghamton University news release.

The event, in recognition of the National Nutrition Month, will be hosted in collaboration with more than 60 food vendors, community businesses and organizations, and other groups and individuals at Binghamton University, according to the release.

“Leveraging partnerships with key campus entities such as Campus Recreation is a dynamic way to engage our campus and community,” Alexa Schmidt, a Sodexo dietician, said in the release.

Attendees will be able to participate in free health screenings, exercise demos and sessions, cooking demos, facility tours and drawings, letting them learn how to incorporate health and wellness into their daily lives.

The vendors will display products, offer helpful information, and provide food, beverage samples, and fun giveaways during the fair, the university said. DJ Dave will be spinning popular tunes for the attendees.
