Bird’s Nest Vintage Boutique thrift store formally opens in Utica

UTICA, N.Y. — The Bird’s Nest Vintage Boutique formally opened in Utica on Wednesday morning.

The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting, grand-opening event for the thrift store, located in the annex to The Abraham House at 102 Eagle St. in Utica.

The boutique features home furnishings, home décor, women’s purses, and jewelry. All the proceeds from the thrift store will help The Abraham House continue its mission as “a welcoming home for the terminally ill,” according to a chamber news release.

The Abraham House offers guests a “secure and loving home” while providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to the terminally ill. The around-the-clock care is provided free of charge, per the release. The Abraham House relies solely on community support and donations to maintain and run the home.

The thrift store will be open to the public every Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
