ENDWELL — Nineteen Binghamton–area businesspeople will graduate as the Broome Leadership Institute (BLI) class of 2013 in a ceremony in Endwell on Thursday, according to a news release from the Greater Binghamton Education Outreach Program (GBEOP).
The BLI, founded in 1988, is a six-month community leadership program sponsored by the GBEOP, an affiliate organization of the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce. The program has more than 500 graduates, according to the chamber’s website.
The BLI is designed to develop “enthusiastic and well-informed leaders who are committed to making positive contributions to the community,” the release said.
Each class accepts 20 members working in fields ranging from business to government and nonprofit organizations. The 19 people who will graduate this year are:
