SYRACUSE — Blown Away, a blow-dry-only salon, formally opened today at 266 West Jefferson St. in Armory Square.
The opening event was set for 4 p.m., the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc. said in a Monday news release.
Blowout bars are salons that specialize solely in blow drying hair, (offering blowouts), and have become a “popular phenomenon” in other cities, the Downtown Committee said.
Blown Away is the latest local business to locate in Armory Square, which has welcomed Accents, an accessories and home furnishings shop; Indie Kids, a children’s clothing store; and Etcetera, an accessories store, within the last month, the Downtown Committee added.
