Bonadio announces new hires, upcoming promotions that include Syracuse and Utica-area offices

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Bonadio Group — a Rochester–based accounting firm — announced it has added more than 60 assistant accountants in its offices, including eight in the Syracuse office and three in its Utica–area site in Clinton.

The company is also promoting nearly 160 current employees to new positions as of Jan. 1, a figure that includes 22 in the Syracuse office and one in Clinton.

“In a year that brought many challenges, we’re proud to have welcomed so many talented newcomers to our firm, while also recognizing the dedication of our current employees,” Bruce Zicari, CEO of the Bonadio Group, said in a release.

The accounting firm’s Syracuse office is located at 432 N. Franklin St. and its Utica–area office is at 7936 Seneca Turnpike in Clinton.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bonadio Group says it has continued to prioritize “rewarding and recognizing” employees via uninterrupted performance reviews and raises, as well as a sizeable bonus pool despite the difficult times.

“It’s more important than ever for our firm to celebrate the accomplishments and hard work of our people,” Heather Rudes, senior director of human resources, said. “With so many of our employees tackling unique challenges outside of the workplace while exceeding expectations associated with their day-to-day deliverables, we need to continue to recognize our people to demonstrate our appreciation and gratitude.”
